How to Draw Crystals Step by Step

Step by Step Guide

Crystals are pretty easy to draw. Since they do not have any fixed shape, you can simply take a ruler to draw them, or do them freehand. It is up to you how you want to draw them. But in case you want a more guided explanation of the drawing process, you can check out the way I draw crystals and give that approach a try.

Do a few small crystals first with sharp edges. Then add a few bigger ones at the back. The designs are up to you. Finally, give them a smooth color with a smooth texture.

Start small

Draw a small lump with sharp edges.

Add segments

Draw lines across the edges to segment the lump.

One more crystal

This one is a bit flat and a lot bigger.

Add segments to the new one

The process is same as before.

Another crystal

This one is placed way at the back.

Draw it tall

The third crystal is taller than the rest.

Segment the third one

You know what to do.

And one last crystal

This one is fat but not that tall.

Keep it going

Do all the necessary detailing for the new crystal.

Final touches

Use a dark pencil to land the final touches.

And color

Time to color your crystals and give them a shiny look.
