The baby elephant is a very cute creature. It has the most adorable look in its eyes, and its big flappy ears make it look even cuter. If you want to draw a baby elephant, you need to make sure that its features are properly there so that it can retain that cute appeal of its. But in case you do not know how to do so, do not worry. I am here to help you out.
To draw a baby elephant, you first start with its facial features and then make your way down to the whole body. That way, you can keep it accurate and keep its cuteness intact.
We simply draw the letter ‘U’, in a way such that the ends are pulled towards the left, and squeezed a little.
Next we take a light pencil and draw the head in the shape of a cookie.
On the top of the head, we draw two cavities, one on each side of the trunk. They look somewhat circular with a curved end.
Draw smaller outlines of the eye cavity inside the bigger cavity, and two small curved lines on the top of the trunk.
Draw two big ears on the two sides of the head. They will look like butterfly wings.
Then draw a couple of ovals under the ears. They will be the hind legs of our elephant.
Draw a couple of ‘U’s under the trunk, on both sides of it.
Draw the lines that will connect the legs to the elephant’s body.
Draw small toes on the hind legs. They will look like somewhat like marshmallows.
Three upside down ‘U’s on the front two feet shall do the trick here.
Use a darker pencil to enhance the sharpness of the drawing.
Your drawing is done. Now you just have to color it.
