I love Japanese cherry blossoms. With the arrival of April each year, my Instagram is flooded with pictures from Japan where the whole country is shrouded in these beautiful pink flowers and plants. So I thought I would draw them and frankly, I enjoyed it. I then thought about sharing the process with you guys so that you can join me in appreciating the beauty of these flowers.
Start with the branch. Then draw the flowers. Add some leaves. Finally color them all and you are done.
Keep it slim and long.
Draw a fully blossomed flower at the end of the branch.
Show this one coming out of the side.
Make it longer.
This one is not yet fully blossomed.
So far so good.
The more the merrier.
Draw the last flowers.
These will make the drawing look more natural.
Just a few more steps to go.
Get a dark pencil for this.
The drawing is ready. Now we just have to color it and we are done with our final artwork.
