How to Draw Ariel Step by Step

Step by Step Guide

Ariel is my favorite mermaid princess, and one of my all time favorite Disney character. She is so pretty and adorable that I used to draw her a lot back in the day. Over time, I progressively worked on my Ariel drawings and got better at it. Soon enough, I developed my own approach for drawing her. It is a simple process that does not take too much time. And if you are a beginner looking to draw her, you can refer to my personal Ariel drawing technique.

Start with the head and do the body next. Add the details on her dress, and then work out the colors.

Start with the head

Draw the head using a light pencil.

Now the hair

Give Ariel some nice and long hair.

Next the body

Show the arms extended.

Now the lower part

It is drawn like the tail of a fish, just like a regular mermaid.

Next the fin

Draw the tail fin in the shape of two distinct leaves.

Add some details

Use a light pencil to add the details on her body and tail.

Last touches

You are almost done. Just a few more steps.

Final outline

Do this outline with a bold pencil.
