How to Draw An Owl Step by Step

The owl is a majestic bird. I find it to be one of the most beautiful and graceful animals to have flown on earth. And for that, I enjoy drawing them. But drawing an owl is easier said than done. If you observe an owl carefully, you will notice that it has a lot of details in it. Getting all of those details in your drawing is quite difficult. Fortunately, I developed an easy way to draw them. My method compromises of a few simple steps with some neat coloring. Start with the body and the legs. Work out the eyes next. Then do the detailing on the feathers and the body. Finally, color the drawing, and you are done.

Start with the head

It is shaped like an egg.

Now the body

The body is drawn oval.

Next the feet

Give your owl a pair of tiny feet.

Go for the wings

The wings are drawn big and wide.

Next comes the eyes

Keep the eyes big and detailed.

Draw a branch

Show the owl standing on a small branch.

Add some details

Draw some curves on the body and wings to act as the feathers.

Final touches

Use a dark pencil to add the finishing touches.

Coloring time

The drawing is done. Now it is time to color.
