How to Draw A Whale Step by Step

Step by Step Guide

Drawing a whale may seem difficult at first, but it need not be so. If you take a step by step approach to drawing whales, you will be fine. It will not be time consuming while at the same time provide a perfect whale figure for you. In case you do not know how to approach this drawing, feel free to check out the steps I follow to draw them.

I start with the back and proceed towards the front. I mark each part distinctly and use light pencils to do so. Finally, I use some light cold colors to color the whale drawing.

Start with the tail

Draw the tail fin in somewhat of a W shape.

Now the body

It looks like a big leaf.

Mark the belly

A horizontal line along the length of the body should do the trick.

Add fins

Draw two fins, one on each side of the whale.

Do some minor detailing

Draw a few lines running through the belly.

Now the eyes

Keep them oval in shape.

Show the whale playing

Draw a stream of water coming out from the top of the whale head.

Some more detailing

This time on the main body.

Keep it going

You are almost done. Just a little more left.

Final touches

Be sure to use a dark pencil for this.

Now we color

The drawing is ready. Now it is time to color the whale.
