How to Draw A Turkey Step by Step

A turkey drawing is similar to any other big bird, but I can assume that it gets tough to draw them if you have not done much bird drawing. So if that is the case, you should trace your drawing to an existing artwork before working out your own approach. And luckily for you, I have a simple process ready for you to try out.

To draw a turkey, we do a top to bottom approach. Keep the body a bit large and feathery. The eyes are slightly bigger. And once the rest of the drawing is done, get to the coloring.

Start from the top

Do the mouth first.

Next the eyes

They are big and oval in shape.

Now the main head

It is like drawing a ghost.

Do the body next

Keep it big and round.

Now the wings

Draw two feathery wings on both sides of the body.

Start drawing the tail

Draw the tail feathers on the left first.

Keep it going

Now the ones on the right.

Add some minor details

Draw a stripe on each tail feather.

Almost there

Just a couple of more steps.

Final touches

Use a dark pencil to do the final touches.

Time to color

Your turkey is ready. Now you just have to color it.
