How to Draw A Tree Of Life Step by Step

Drawing a tree of life is just as simple as drawing a normal tree. But I can understand if you still have some problems regarding it. I too was confused until I skimmed through a bunch of online tutorials. And now, I follow my own approach to draw this tree of life, something you too can follow.

To draw a tree of life, I take a top to bottom approach. The branches and leaves are more or less detailed. I keep the roots deep. For coloring, I avoid unnecessary shades.

Start from the top

Draw a few branches.

And some more

Add a few more of those branches.

Keep them coming

Continue with the branches.

Now the roots

They will sort of mirror the branches.

Continue with the roots

Draw them similar to the branches.

Almost there

Just a few more roots and you will be done.

Cut a hole now

Draw a hole right at the middle of the trunk.

Now some leaves

Draw individual leaves on the branches.

And some more

Continue drawing the leaves.

You are nearly done

Just a couple of more steps.

Final touches

Use a sharp pencil to add the final touches.

And color it

Add some lovely colors to those leaves and complete the tree of life.
