If you want to learn how to draw a sword, but do not know how, you have come to the right place. Like you, I too had troubles with these drawings. Eventually, however, I managed to get over those hardships through regular practice. And surely enough, I was able to perfect my sword drawings while keeping the process very simple. If you would like, you can check out the steps I follow to draw a sword, and replicate them to draw your own.
To draw a sword, you start with the base first and then do the blade. Keep the lines dead straight for a sharp appeal. Color the drawing with some light colors, and you are done.
Draw a hook like base for the sword.
It will come in use later.
That is to fit the hand.
Use a sharp pencil for this.
Keep them as simple as possible.
Keep it thin like a hair.
The top must be pointy.
Complete drawing the blade.
A few lines will do the trick.
Use a dark pencil for this.
The sword drawing is ready. Now you just have to color it.
