If you want to draw a soldier, you have to think about their posture, body, and how they present themselves. These are things that I have worked out and ensure in my soldier drawings. And in case you are having trouble working things out on your own, you can go ahead and follow the steps I follow to draw a soldier.
To draw a soldier, go for a top to bottom approach. Apply clean pencil strokes on the edges and keep things smooth. Color the drawing carefully to avoid color spilling out of the outlines.
Draw the head first.
Draw a helmet over the head.
Sketch a simple collar for the shirt.
Keep it plain and use a light pencil to draw.
Draw the pants tucked into the boots.
Draw the hands of the soldiers and also a belt around his waist.
Give the soldier a camouflaged uniform.
Draw them oval shaped. Do the mouth as well.
Let us have him hold a big rifle.
Use a sharp pencil for these last details.
The drawing is ready. Now it is time to color our brave little soldier.
