Drawing a snowflake is all about getting a good pattern. As long as the design is right, it will look realistic. And that is what troubles many of us. It bothered me at first as well, but I was able to make the most of my time and learn how to draw a snowflake. And with a bit of effort and my guidance, you too can draw snowflakes.
Start by drawing the outlines. Get a star like pattern before doing a double outline. Keep the drawing clean and simple, and then get to the coloring part.
Draw an ice cream stick.
Draw another stick crossing the first one.
This one goes right through the middle of the other two.
Draw a half star on the right.
Repeat the star drawing for the left.
These designs are shaped like boomerangs.
Do the same for the top part of the middle stick as well.
Continue with drawing the designs.
Just a few more.
Use a dark pencil to land a sharp and bold look on the snowflake.
Give the snowflake some soothing color shades.
