For drawing a shooting star, you need not learn new techniques. Your existing star drawing skills can be utilized to draw them. The overall scenery is super easy to draw. But I can understand that you still might need some guidance. In that case, feel free to use my approach as reference.
Draw a star. Give it five ends. Then, once the star is ready, make it sparkle and draw a trail behind it for the shooting motion. Then color it, and your shooting star drawing is ready.
The gap between the two hands should be a bit bigger than usual.
Connect it with the first one.
One more V.
Continue drawing the V.
By now, your star should be ready.
Draw a few lines around it to make it seem as if it were shining brightly.
Draw a few lines at one end.
Make the trail look dense.
You are almost done.
Use a sharp pencil to give it a fine look.
The drawing is done. Now you just have to color it.
