How to Draw A Robot Step by Step

Step by Step Guide

There are many ways to draw a robot. However, I like to keep it simple. My approach is easy to follow and perfect for beginners. So if you feel like drawing a robot, but do not know how to proceed with it, feel free to check out the steps I use to draw them.

I usually keep the top and bottom parts separated by marking them accordingly. The legs are kept long and I do the head like that of a bear. Once the rest of the features are done, I set out to color the robot in a minimal fashion.

Draw the body

Keep the upper and lower part of the bodies separated.

Draw legs

The legs are rather long. They are wide near the top.

Now the head

The head looks like that of a small bear.

Draw the shoulders

They are drawn circular in shape. Join the upper and lower bodies with a belt like structure.

Now the facial features

Draw the eyes and mouth of the robot.

Sketch the hands

Draw the hands from the shoulders.

Draw claws

The claws are shaped like a horse shoe.

Add an antenna

The antenna is drawn thin and on top of the head.

Last few touches

You are almost done.

Color it

Give the robot a futuristic look with some nice colors.
