How to Draw A Palm Tree Leaves Step by Step

Palm leaves are very distinct from other leaves. They are longer, and have much sharper edges. That being said, palm tree leaves are just as easy to draw as any other type of leaf. But if you do not know how to draw them, do not worry. I too had difficulties drawing them at first, but I eventually got the hang of it. And you too will be able to draw them with ease once you check out the way I do things.

To draw palm tree leaves, you first work on the midrib and then the leaves. Keep the edges sharp. Avoid making them too bushy though. And before you know it, your palm tree leaves will be done.

Start with the stalk

Use a light pencil to draw the thin stalk.

Give it a dark outline

Use a dark pencil to darken the stalk outline.

Start adding leaves

Start from the top.

Continue downward

Continue drawing the leaves down the stalk.

Keep drawing the leaves

Keep going with the leaves.

Finish the leaves

Finish the leaves on one side of the stalk.

Repeat for the other side

Draw the leaves for the other side of the stalk.

Almost done

Keep going. You are almost done.

Final touches

Use a dark pencil to lay down the final touches.

Coloring time

Give the palm leaf a nice green color.
