I have always been fascinated by mummies. There is just something eerie about them that catches my attention every time. So naturally, I am quite fond of drawing mummies. It is not difficult to draw them, but it does require a bit of attention to detail if you want to get them right. I take a simple approach to drawing mummies, and if you too want to know how to draw a mummy, feel free to check out the steps I personally follow.

To draw a mummy, start by drawing a normal human like figure. Then, wrap the figure up with some bandages and color it. And you are done.

Start from the top

Draw the head first.

Go for the face next

Draw the facial features, mostly the eyes and mouth.

Add the neck

Attach a small neck to the head.

Draw a hand

Give your mummy a long hand.

Throw in some bandages

Wrap the neck and hand in some bandages.

Start drawing the body

Give the mummy an elongated body.

Draw a leg

Extend the body into a leg.

Draw the other hand

Keep it similar to the first.

Now the other leg

This one is placed behind the first one.

Start wrapping the bandages

Take a bottom to top approach for this.

Keep going

Continue with the bandages.

Add some details

Make the bandages look a bit more sharp.

Final touches

You are almost done.

Coloring time

Keep the bandages while. Just darken the eyes and mouth.
