Mermaids are majestic in every way imaginable. Their presence fills any work of art with joy and amazement. So if you want to draw a mermaid, you have to make sure that it looks pretty, majestic, and colorful. In case you do not know how to do so, you have nothing to worry about. I too have struggled with these drawings in the past, but over the years, I have matured enough and have developed my art skills to draw them properly. And since these are easy to follow steps, you too will be able to draw them with ease.

Start with the head, and finish on the tail. Add the clothing and minor details. Finally color it and you are done.

Start with the head

Keep it small and oval.

Now the hair

Keep the hair short but straight.

Now an arm

Do the left on first.

Now the tail

Keep it long, somewhat like that of a regular fish.

Add the clothes

Two shells should do the trick.

Now her face

Keep the eyes shut and give her a smile.

Almost there

Start adding the details.

Do a final outline

Get a dark pencil for this.

Color it

The mermaid drawing is now ready. Just color it, and you will be done.
