Kittens are very easy to draw. If you can get just a few features right, the kitten drawing will look really amazing. But that is where a lot of people struggle. They cannot seem to do justice to their kitten drawings no matter how hard they try. If you too belong to this demography, do not worry. I recommend you try to replicate my kitten drawing procedure and see where it takes you.

To draw a kitten, we start with the head. Next, we move over to its body and tail. Later on, we draw the paws and add the other small details on it. Finally, once the drawing is completed, we get to the coloring part.

Start with the face

Draw a curve on the right side of the paper.

Complete the head

Bring the face round and complete drawing the kitten’s head.

Add the ears

Keep the ears a bit long and wide near the bottom.

Add some hair

Draw a little hair on top of the kitten’s head.

Draw the back

The back curve extends all the way to the kitten’s tail.

Draw the rest of the body

Keep the body short. Use a light pencil to do so.

Darken the outlines

Use a sharp pencil to darken the outlines.

Work out the paws

Draw a few lines on the kitty’s paws.

Add some details

Keep going, you are doing great.

Add whiskers

Use a light pencil for the kitten’s whiskers.

Finishing touches

Just one more step to go.

Coloring time

Your kitten drawing is done. Now you just have to color.
