If you think that drawing a kangaroo is difficult, you are probably doing it wrong. To me, drawing a kangaroo is quite easy, and that is mostly because I know how to draw them in a simple stepwise manner. In case you are having trouble with your kangaroo drawings, you should consider following my approach while working on your artworks.
To draw a kangaroo, we start with the head and ears, and then work on its bulky body. We then add the arms and legs, and most importantly, the pouch. Finally, we add a few finishing touches to our drawing and color it.
The head is somewhat like that of a chimpanzee with a bit of hair sticking out from the top.
The ears are drawn a bit long and pointy.
The body is a bit bulky, sort of like a bottle.
The legs are a bit bulky as well. You can tell that they are strong.
The arms are also big and pressed against the kangaroo’s body.
Use a light pencil to draw the nose and mouth of the kangaroo.
The pouch is the most important part of the kangaroo and very easy to draw.
Use a dark pencil to add the finishing touches on your drawing.
The drawing is done. Now you just have to color it.
