Drawing a horse may seem difficult at first, but trust me, it is a lot easier than you think. The steps, as long as you keep them simple, will not take long to work through. To draw a horse, we first draw the head, then the body, and finally the next. Afterwards, we add the details like the facial features, mane, and some texture. Finally, we add a final outline to our drawing for added depth, and color the horse.

Start from the top

Draw the top side first, which includes the back and the head.

Rest of the body

Use a light pencil to sketch the rest of the horse.

Add the left legs

These legs are slightly hidden by the ones on the horse’s right side.

Add the tail and mane

Draw the tail and mane of the horse. Keep them wavy and a bit messy.

Next the ears and nose

Lightly draw the ears and nose of the horse.

Other facial features

Keep working on the face for now.

Draw the saddle

The saddle is drawn right at the middle on the horse.

Add some details

These details will go on the saddle.

Draw the rope

You are almost done after this.

Final touches

Give the outline a sharp and bold look with a dark pencil.

Take out your colors and start coloring your horse.
