Drawing a horse may seem difficult at first, but trust me, it is a lot easier than you think. The steps, as long as you keep them simple, will not take long to work through. Attention to detail is not that necessary at a beginner’s level either. Hence, if you are feeling uncomfortable drawing a horse, it is probably because you are doing it wrong. How to do it the right way? Well, why not check out how I draw a horse so easily and see for yourself.
To draw a horse, we first draw the head, then the body, and finally the next. Afterwards, we add the details like the facial features, mane, and some texture. Finally, we add a final outline to our drawing for added depth, and color the horse.
Draw the top side first, which includes the back and the head.
Use a light pencil to sketch the rest of the horse.
These legs are slightly hidden by the ones on the horse’s right side.
Draw the tail and mane of the horse. Keep them wavy and a bit messy.
Lightly draw the ears and nose of the horse.
Keep working on the face for now.
The saddle is drawn right at the middle on the horse.
These details will go on the saddle.
You are almost done after this.
Give the outline a sharp and bold look with a dark pencil.
Take out your colors and start coloring your horse.
