A helicopter may seem like a difficult drawing to work on, but if you follow the right steps, it is actually quite easy. I really liked drawing helicopters as a kid. Even today, I recall those steps and draw helicopters from time to time, mostly while making cards or cutouts. If you are not comfortable with drawing helicopters, maybe you could try drawing them in my way. I can guarantee you, you will feel much more comfortable following my approach.
To draw a helicopter, we start with the blades, then make our way down to the main body. Next, we work on the skids and windows, and finish the drawing with some final touches before coloring it.
Draw a mushroom like rotor for the blades.
Draw the two blades on the right.
Next, draw the ones on the left.
Draw the main body of the helicopter using a light pencil.
Use a light pencil to draw a line running the entire length of the helicopter.
Draw the windows of the helicopter.
Draw the tail on the tip of the helicopter end.
Draw the landing skids. Only one will be visible from our perspective.
Keep going. You are almost done.
Use a dark pencil to give the helicopter a smooth finish.
Give the helicopter an attractive look with some bright colors.
