How to Draw A Hat Step by Step

The hat is a very simple and easy item to draw. It has a straightforward appearance and does not take too much time to draw. However, despite its simple nature, I can understand that a lot of you struggle to draw it because you do not know where to start. So, to help you out, I have come up with an easy step by step tutorial on how to draw a hat.

To draw a hat, we first start with the top part and then add the base. We throw in a few lines and a bow as design features for our hat. Finally, we add the finishing touches and color it.

Draw the top

This part is shaped like a cupcake bottom.

Add a small design

Draw a line running horizontally from one end of the hat to the other.

Next the base

The base is shaped like a saucer.

Draw a ribbon

The ribbon acts as a design feature on the hat.

Use a light pencil as you do so.

Finish the ribbon

Complete drawing the ribbon using a light pencil

Last few touches

Use a dark pencil to give a sharp look to the outline.

Color it

Give the hat a nice look by coloring it.
