How to Draw A Fire Step by Step

Step by Step Guide

Drawing a fire is very easy. However, since it does not have a specific structure, I can understand that a lot of you have trouble drawing it. Even with a reference image or drawing, you still might struggle with your fire drawings. However, if you follow a more stepwise approach like me, you will be able to draw a fire quite easily.

To draw a fire, we first start with a few sticks lying on the ground, and place the fire on top of them. The fire takes up most of the space on the sticks, and we also show some sparks flying out of it. Finally, we give the fire a nice shade of red and orange, maybe a bit of yellow too, and make it look realistic.

Start with a stick

Draw the stick in the shape of a hotdog.

Another stick

This one is lying beside the first one.

One more stick

This one is lying over the first two.

The last stick

This one is drawn beside the third one.

Adding depth

Give the sticks a 3D type look.

Add some details

Use a light pencil to pen out the small details on the stick.

Draw the fire

It covers three-fourths of the total area of the sticks.

Add a few sparks

The sparks are added on the topside of the fire.

Make it look alive

Draw an inner outline to give the fire a raging look.

Keep going

Do your best to make it look real.

Final touches

Use a dark pencil to draw the last touches on the fire.

Coloring time

Use shades of red and orange to give the fire a beautiful look.
