Drawing a family tree is very easy. I used to draw them all the time for different school projects. Of course, I have had my struggles with this particular drawing. However, I eventually managed to get really good at it. If you too are struggling with your family tree drawings, you can take a look at the steps I follow to draw them, and then implement them for your own artwork.
To draw a family tree, I start with the circular frames first. I make sure to draw plenty of them. Then I work on the trunk and slowly make my way up the branches. I then add a few flowers and work on the other details. Finally, when everything is done, I use a sharp pencil to redo the outlines and finish the drawing.
Draw a four circles on the left.
Draw four more circles on the right this time.
Draw the trunk from the right side.
Draw a similar trunk on the left.
Draw the branches. They’re to be kept thin and light.
The leaves are drawn as you would in a normal tree.
Continue drawing the leaves
The flowers are small and a bit round.
These leaves have their own outlines and are sticking out.
Continue with the leaves. You are doing great so far.
Use a dark pencil to add the finishing touches on your family tree.
Sit yourself down and start coloring the tree.
