I always find fairies fascinating. No matter how old I am, I will always appreciate the idea behind these mythical beings. As a child, I would always doodle fairies in the back of my notebooks. And one day, without me even realizing it, those doodles started looking really good. I then gathered all the steps I would follow to do the doodles, and began teaching them to other kids. And soon enough, everyone in my class was doodling fairies in their notebooks, and they all learned it from me. I believe that approach I took back in those days is still relevant, and anyone looking to draw a fairy easily can follow my approach.
To draw a fairy, I take a very straightforward approach. The drawing starts with the head, then the body and legs. Once the main structure is done, draw a dress, add the little designs and details, and finally the wings. After the drawing is done, I tend to add one last outline to make the drawing look a bit bold.
Draw the wing on the left side of the paper. It has two parts. The upper part is bigger than the lower part.
Draw a similar wing on the right side.
Add a border on the wings with a dark pencil.
The arms are drawn one on top of the other.
Show the fairy wearing a long dress.
The head is drawn small, and the ears are a bit pointy.
The legs are thin and the heels are pointing downward.
The hair is mostly straight, with a few curls near the end.
Use a light pencil to draw the eyes, nose, and mouth.
Use a dark pencil to put the final touches on your drawing.
Make your fairy look beautiful with some amazing colors.
