How to Draw A Dog Paw Step by Step

A dog’s paw has a very simple and straightforward appearance. However, despite the simplicity, people often find it difficult to draw them. If you too have faced this issue, don’t worry, because I think I can help you out. I use a very simple approach to drawing a dog paw which I think you’ll find really useful.

To draw a dog paw, we start from the middle, which is basically the palm, and them move towards the toes. The toes are different in sizes, so we need to be careful about that. Once the toes are done, we just throw in some colors, and our dog paw is ready.

Start drawing

Draw a big nose like shape.

Start drawing the toes

The toes are shaped like beans.

A couple of more toes

Draw two more toes.

Start the other paw

It is the same as before

Add toes to it

Use a light pencil as you continue drawing.

Keep going

Add more toes to the new paw.

One more paw

Start drawing the third paw.

Time for toes

Draw the toes for the third paw.

The last paw

You are almost done.

Just a couple of more steps

Keep it slow and steady.

Final touches

Use a dark pencil darken the outline.

Color it

We will use black to color the paws.
