Well, don’t worry; I think I can help you out. The approach I take to draw a cross includes a simple stepwise technique with some creative additions to it. This is something that you might want to try out as well.

To draw a cross, we start with the basic shapes. Once the structure is ready, it’s time to get creative. To keep things simple, we’ll just use a cloth wrapped around the arms of the cross, and give it a more exquisite look while keeping the drawing easy to work on.

Draw the bottom step

It is a long and thin rectangle.

Some more steps

Draw a couple of more steps. Each one a bit smaller than the last one.

Draw the vertical part of the cross

A long and narrow rectangle on top of the steps.

Add the other part

It is drawn horizontally, and parallel to the steps.

Add a cloth

Show the cloth hanging from the cross.

Keep going

You are doing great. Continue drawing.

Add another cloth

Draw it on the other arm of the cross.

Add some details

Make the cloth look realistic by adding some folds.

Final touches

Use a dark pencil to add the final touches.

Color it

Time to color the cross.
