How to Draw A Coyote Step by Step

Drawing a coyote may seem hard, but it does not need to be so. If you are facing troubles with your coyote drawings, you are not alone though. I too had issues with my coyote artworks till I eventually worked my way around its structure, and basic body features. After that, things felt a lot easier. So if you want, you can check out the approach I take to draw a coyote.

Start with the head, and then the body and legs. Work on the tail and the facial features next. Finally color it, and you are done.

Start with the head

Keep it hairy.

Add the nose and mouth

Keep the nose pointy and the mouth open.

Next draw the eyes

The eyes should look alert. Draw the ears while you are at it.

Start working on the body

Draw it in the shape of a burrito.

Add the leg

Draw the front leg.

Now one at the back

Let us draw a hind leg now.

Continue with the legs

Add the rest of the legs.

Almost done

Just a few more steps to go.

Add the tail

Keep the tail fluffy like you did for a wolf.

Last touches

Do this with a dark pencil.

Now we color

Time to color the coyote.
