Have you ever tried to draw a clown, but gave up half way because you were confused as to how you should draw it? I have had this experience a few times, especially when I was just starting to get myself into drawing. But eventually, I worked out a simple step by step approach for drawing clowns, something, which I believe, you will really appreciate and learn a thing or two from.
We start drawing our clown from the head, and make our way down to its body. The funky looking hair and the red nose are crucial elements for making it look realistic. And just for some extra details, we make our clown juggle a few balls.
The head is circular in shape, with the left and right sides draw a bit flat.
Use a light pencil to draw the ears and neck. They are drawn a bit small.
The hair is curly and the collar is shaped like an umbrella.
Use a light pencil to draw the hands and the upper part of the clown’s body.
Join the hands with the body by drawing the arms.
The legs are long and the trouser ends are folded upwards.
The glasses are drawn a bit bigger, and the nose is circular.
Let us make the clown wear a hat, and give his dress some buttons.
We draw some balls to show that the clown is juggling them.
Use a dark pencil to give the drawing some sharpness.
Use some bright and festive colors for your funny little clown.
