How to Draw A City Step by Step

Step by Step Guide

If you want to draw a city but wondering where to start, you have come to the right place. With my vision and directions, you can easily draw a city drawing within a few minutes. So sit back and take a good look at the steps I personally follow while drawing a cityscape or a normal city scenery.

Start with the buildings and roads. Then add some trees and cars, and a cityscape backdrop. Finally, color it and you are done.

Start with the road

Draw a narrow rectangle at the bottom.

Add some lines

These will act as the dividers of the road.

A few buildings

Draw these tall buildings on your right.

Now on the left

Repeat for the left side now.

In the middle

Draw smaller ones in the middle.

Add windows

Draw windows on the buildings.

Now a backdrop

Do a cityscape on the backside of these buildings.

Draw a car

Show it driving on the road.

Final touches

Use a dark pencil for this.

Your city is ready

Now you just have to color it.
