How to Draw A Chameleon Step by Step

Chameleons are some of the most interesting creatures on this planet. Apart from their color changing capabilities, I also love their sharp appearance. Some might find them creepy, but I actually quite like them. That brings me to the point I am about to make. I love drawing chameleons, but I know that many of you struggle with these drawings. For them, I can provide a bit of guidance. Just stick to the basics with me, and you can draw them with ease.

Start with the head. Then the body and tail. And the facial features and limbs. Then the stripes. Color everything, and you are done.

Draw the body

Keep it in the shape of a lizard.

Add the tail

It will have a curl.

Draw the eyes

They are big and round.

Then the legs

Draw the front one first.

Now the other

Next the hind legs.

So far so good

You are doing a good job.

Add the stripes

Draw them on the back.

Continue with the stripes

Draw them on the tail.

Draw a branch

It is where the chameleon is standing on.

Almost done

Just a couple of more steps.

Final touches

Get a dark pencil for this.

Now we color

The chameleon is ready. Now we just have to color the drawing.
