If you want to draw a cat face, but don’t know where to start, don’t worry. I too have struggled with this drawing in the past, and worked my way through numerous tutorials and lessons to come up with the perfect step by step cat face drawing tutorial. It’s a relatively simple approach that won’t take up much time, and is ‘purrfect’ for beginners.
We take a top to bottom approach to draw this face. Everything is pretty easy to replicate, apart from the eyes, where you’ll need to be a bit careful. Once all the basic stuff is done, give it a final touchup with a sharp pencil, and you are done with your cat face drawing.
Draw the lower part of the face in the shape of a heart. The upper part has a pointy year.
Repeat the same process for the right side now.
Use a light pencil to sketch the small nose and mouth of your cat.
Use a light pencil to draw the eye on the left side of your paper.
Repeat the process for the other eye, and use a dark pencil to sharpen the outlines.
Add a bit of wavy fur over the right ear.
Add fur on the left ear now.
Use a light pencil to draw eyebrows on top of the cat’s eyes.
A few rough lines across the face will take care of the realistic details.
Use a light pencil to draw some lines on the face for the whiskers.
Use a dark tone pencil to give the outlines a more vivid appearance.
Your drawing is done. Now you just have to color it.
