Drawing a cactus is pretty easy. It does not have too many features that you need to worry about. Even if you want to draw a heavily detailed cactus, you can do so without much difficulty. Of course, if you are still having troubles drawing a cactus, I can understand. Different people take different approaches to drawing cacti. I personally prefer a simple step by step approach, something that you will find really helpful.
To draw a cactus, we first work on its body, and then the small branches. Once all the outlining is done, we simply draw the thorns. And there you go, the cactus is ready.
Draw the main body of the cactus in the shape of your index finger.
Draw curvy thumb like branches. Make three of them.
On the bottom left side, draw another cactus body.
Similar branches are drawn to the smaller cactus.
Use a dark pencil to darken the outlines.
Add a few thorns on the cactus body.
Keep adding more pin like thorns.
Use a sharp pencil to draw more thorns.
Color the two cacti with a green color.
