The cactus flower is a very simple thing to draw. It is pretty much like any other flower, and bears close resemblance to lilies. Start with a small lily

Draw a lily shape on top of the paper.

Draw the body next

Under the lily, you draw the cactus body in the shape of a thumb.

Add the pot

Under the body, draw the upper part of the pot.

Add the lower part of the pot.

Add some details

Draw lines running across the height of the cactus.

Add the thorns

Draw pin shaped thorns over the cactus body.

Draw a small branch

Use a light pencil to draw a circular branch to the right of the cactus.

Add thorns on the branch

Draw pin shaped thorns on the small branch as well.

Keep going

Add a smaller branch on top of the small branch.

Add the final details

Sharpen the outlines

Use a dark pencil to give a sharp overlay on the outlines.
