A bird flying in the open blue skies is a majestic scene. It is something you would want to draw on your canvas and hang somewhere on a wall. But I understand that many of you have a hard time in drawing birds. If that is really the case, and you want to know how to draw a bird flying in the sky, you can check out the steps that I follow while working on such an artwork.
To draw a bird flying, we start with the body and the head. Afterward, we take extra care while working on the eyes. The details on the feathers are also important. The rest is just making sure that the coloring is neat and clean, and we are done.
Draw a flat ‘V’ like curve on the top right side of the paper.
On the right end of the curve, draw some hair in the shape of ‘M’.
Draw another curve ‘W’ shape under the upper part.
The tail is drawn on the left side, similar to the shape of our fingers.
Use a light pencil to draw a pair of circular eyes.
Under the eyes, draw the top portion of the beak.
Draw the lower portion of the beak in a tilted ‘V’ shape.
Using a light pencil, gently draw the left wing.
Draw another wing for the left side of the bird.
Use a dark pencil to darken the outline.
Use some light colors to color the bird and finish it. Well done!
