How to Draw A Beetle Step by Step

Step by Step Guide

A beetle may seem like a difficult insect to draw, but it need not be so. In fact, if you know the right steps, drawing a beetle can be quite easy. But in case you do not know how you can draw it, feel free to check out my approach to drawing beetles. I keep things relatively simple so that even beginners can learn a thing or two from my beetle drawing procedure.

Start with the head, and then the pincers. Work out the body and legs next. Add some minor details, and you are done. All you have to do now is color and your beetle will be ready.

Start with the head

It looks like a pair of glasses from top.

Extend the head

Do a rectangular section behind the head.

Now the jaws

They appear tapered towards the top.

Work out the body

Draw it in the shape of a nut.

Now the grippers

Give them pointy teeth and bend them at a ninety degree angle.

Do the legs

Keep them short and hairy.

Now the front legs

You know what to do.

Final legs

Almost done.

Finishing touches

Get a sharp pencil for this.

Color it

Give the beetle some warm colors.
