Bears, although quite dangerous and fearsome, are also very cute animals. They have a warm and gentle look to them that just makes your heart melt. If you want to bring that cuteness in your bear drawing, you need to work on its facial expressions while giving it a natural and realistic look.

We draw the bear by following a top to bottom approach. Keep things simple and do not overdo anything. The bear’s body is a bit chubby and covered with fur. Coloring will play an important role in how your bear looks.

First we draw the head

The head is diamond shaped with round edges. Two ears are placed on the top of it.

Then the curvy body

Draw curved lines on both sides of the body. These lines will be converted into the bear’s arms and legs.

Add the details

Draw the other side of the arms and legs. They are starting to take shape, as you can see.

Time to add some fur

Draw the fur on the bear’s head and upper body.

Draw the feet

Add the details on the feet. Draw a circle on each foot.

Drawing the face

Draw the eyes and nose on the face. The eyes are oval in shape while the nose takes a half-circle shape.

Sharpen the image

Add the final touches on the eyes and nose. Use a dark pencil to give the drawing a bold look.

It is almost alive

Your bear is done. Now it is time to make it look lifelike with some colors.
