How to Draw A Bat Step by Step

The bat is an easy creature to draw. Most of the work goes on its wings and face. Apart from all that, the body is quite simple and easy to sketch. But if you need help, I have got you covered. By taking a step by step approach to drawing a bat, you can get the job done quite easily.

To draw a bat we start from the head. Then we make our way to the body and wings. Finally, we work on the facial features, and then give it a nice coat of black color.

Draw the head

One tiny circle will do the trick here.

Draw the body

A small oval under the head is drawn for the body.

Small ears on both sides

Draw two peach shaped ears on both sides of the head.

Draw the belly

Draw a small circle on the bat’s body.

Wing on the left

Draw the left wing. It is shaped somewhat like a leaf.

The other wing

Draw the wing on the right, same way as before.

Cute little feet

Two ‘J’ shaped feet are drawn under the bat’s body.

Add a smile

Darken the feet, and give the bat a wide smile. Draw some lines on the wings too.

Add the shadow

Darken the lines on the wings, and add a small shadow under the bat.

Darken the lines

You are almost done. Just add some depth to the image with a bold pencil.

Final coloring

The drawing is done. Just add some dark colors on the body and give the bat a scary look.
