The banana is a very easy fruit to draw. It just requires a few simple curves and you will be done. But if you still have confusions regarding it, I am here to help you out, and give you a step by step tutorial on how to draw a banana.

To draw the banana, we start with the peel and make our way to the fruit. We also have to keep things smooth and give the final drawing a bold and sharp touch when we are done.

Start with the peel

Draw a peel on the left hand side of the paper.

Draw another peel.

Draw a mirrored image of the first peel on the right side of the paper.

Thicken the peel

Draw a second outline over the peel on the left.

Do the same for the other peel

Time to thicken the peel on the right.

Draw the lower part of the fruit

Draw an elongated ‘Y’ shape at the bottom of the peels. Use a light pencil.

Time to draw the main fruit

Above the peels, draw the fruit.

Another peel at the back.

Use a light pencil to draw another peel at the back side of the fruit.

Add some details

Thicken the peel at the back by adding a second outline over it.

One last peel.

This peel will go behind as well, but on the left side of the fruit.

Final touches

Use a dark pencil to sharpen the drawing.

Almost there

One last stroke over the entire outline should do the trick.

Color the banana

Your banana looks great! Now you just have to color it.
