Pansies are some of the most beautiful flowers in the world. They have this simple design, yet such a beautiful appearance. I really enjoy painting pansies, but I was never really good at it. So, I took it upon myself to learn how to paint pansies, and help other interested people in doing so as well. I then studied numerous tutorials on the subject, and listed down some of the more interesting, and helpful ones.
There are two ways to paint a pansy. You can either opt for a watercolor approach, where the coloring will be a little less vibrant, but you have more scope of giving the whole artwork a serene and minimalistic look. Or, you can have the acrylic approach for a more vibrant, and colorful look.
This beautiful pansy is painted with acrylics, and is quite easy to work on. The coloring is quite smooth, and is done using a simple one stroke painting approach. This painting tutorial is perfect for beginners, given how simple it is. People who’re new to acrylics, or painting in general, will find this tutorial to be really helpful. I personally enjoyed working with this painting, simply because of its easy, but majestic appeal.

What’s fascinating about this painting is that despite being a quick painting technique, the coloring here is absolutely fascinating. The shades are perfect, and the details are to the point. The overall artwork has a smooth finish to it as well, which makes this painting stand out. But to be able to pull this off perfectly, you’ll need to be familiar with acrylic painting, and know your way around the various shading techniques.

This is a simple pansy painting approach that uses acrylics. The coloring, although not perfect, is still very neatly done. You can’t have any complaints here, other than maybe regarding the lack of details. Of course, this being a beginner’s level painting, is allowed to have such small inconveniences, and we can ignore these missing features as well.

The coloring of this painting is very vibrant. I particularly like how the shades are gently layered next to one another. Personally, I find the lack of transition from one shade to another a bit misleading. But at the same time, I’m willing to give this one a pass since it’s a tutorial for beginners, and they can learn more about these things as they make progress. In fact, if they want, new learners can experiment with the colors and design to see if they can give this a more appealing look.

This beginner’s level tutorial takes a very basic approach to painting pansies. Not only is the coloring here quite rough, but the shades are also placed without proper transitioning. Despite all that, it’s a beginner’s level artwork, and hence, we need to treat it that way. Hence, I think new learners will have a good learning experience from this tutorial. In my opinion, as a beginner, you should have the courage to experiment with colors and techniques as well.

The black background really does wonders for this painting. The coloring here is already quite charming, and the black background helps give it a more vibrant look. From a distance, this painting might seem difficult to work on. However, once you’ve gone through the video demonstration a couple of times, you’ll find it to be very easy.
