Lavenders are some of the prettiest flowers I’ve ever seen. I quite like painting lavenders, but was never good at painting them. Of course, that all changed when I found myself pondering over a few tutorials on how to paint lavender. These videos helped me understand different processes and techniques which I could use to paint lavender. And if these videos helped me become a better painter, I’m sure you’ll find them to be useful too.
There are two main ways to paint lavenders. You can use cotton swabs and go for a dotted textured painting, or simply use a paint brush to go for a more layered painting approach. Your choice will depend on the type of painting you’re expecting, and the colors you’re using. So choose wisely.
This rough acrylic painting of a lavender field has been achieved using the cotton swab technique. Here, all you do is dip your swabs into the paint, and then press them on to the canvas. It’s an easy, and convenient method, especially if you’re a beginner. This particular painting could’ve used a bit more finesse in terms of the shading, but I think it’s perfect the way it looks, given that it’s a tutorial for beginners.

This approach takes the easy route to painting a simple field of lavender flowers. The process is fairly easy, and doesn’t involve any complex steps. It’s simply the application of the paint that makes this artwork happen. Hence, all you need to do to replicate this artwork perfectly is keep the canvas clean, and make sure you’re not overdoing the shades.

Once again, we look at the cotton swab technique of painting. Here, the patches are rough, and the coloring is all over the place. I would’ve judged this painting a bit more strictly if it weren’t a beginner’s level tutorial. All that being said, I think this is a good place to start working on your painting skills if you’re an absolute beginner.

This tutorial focuses on painting lavenders with watercolors. The colors here are not vibrant at all. If anything, they leave a damp impression, and stretch far away from the original look of the flowers. However, I think it’s a good place to start learning watercolor painting. So, I recommend you give this a try if you’re a beginner in watercolor painting.

This short and sweet tutorial is a quick guide on how to paint some quick lavender flowers. I personally like to believe that this is a tutorial for kids, and that it’s something they’ll enjoy. It’s a very easy process, and doesn’t have any complex blends or shades that the kids need to worry about. If anything, I think the kids should try and experiment with this painting, and see if they can make it look even better.

The coloring of this lavender filed is quite smooth. You can actually feel the smoothness in the painting’s texture from a mile away. Hands down, this is one of the simplest, yet most stunning pieces of art I’ve ever laid my eyes on. I think it’s the simplicity that makes it look so good. The demonstration is mostly aimed for beginners, but I think that even professional artists would like to paint something as beautiful as this.

The coloring in this painting is phenomenal. You can actually tell the details apart, and feel the smooth texture of the painting. The shades are also on point here. It’s not a difficult painting to work on, but it’ll require a bit of experience from your end. Hence, I recommend you give this painting a try only if you’re somewhat experienced in acrylic painting.

You can’t find any fault here. You can tell that this painting is very difficult to replicate. You’ll need a lot of experience as a painter if you want to get this right. The lavender field in this painting has more stretched out view. You’ll be playing with perspective here, so don’t blink an eye while watching the tutorial, and make sure you take note of how the artist puts his perspective into the painting. Apart from that, the rest of the painting is also very beautifully done. You’ll need a lot of time and patience to replicate this one perfectly.
