Foxes are some of the most swift, and cunning animals on our planet. Yet, there’s this cuteness to them that makes you want to pet their heads. Due to my inability to pet a fox every now and then, I decided to draw a portrait of one of these sly little creatures, and hang it up in my living room. Of course, like always, I didn’t know how to draw a fox. So what I did what I usually do, and started exploring a few tutorials on how to draw foxes.
To draw a fox, you first need to decide on a posture or stance. Next, you add the details to its face. Finally, you bring things to an end by adding more details here and there, especially on its body fur. The last step is only needed if you’re going for a detailed or realistic look.
This tutorial for kids shows you the simplest, and easiest way to draw a fox. It’s more of a quick drawing process, where the character is basically a quick and rough sketch of the actual thing. Although this fox lacks details and structure, it’s meant to be drawn by kids, and for them, it’s more than perfect.

The drawing has been done quite neatly, and that’s what helps elevate the cuteness of the fox. As you can see, the artist has used a bit of color here and there to make it look more vivid. From the way the fox’s glance is drawn, to the details in its fur, everything is picture perfect. Although the drawing itself may not be complicated, you’ll still need to throw in a lot of effort to achieve something like this. What makes this drawing really stand out though, is the way the artist uses pencil strokes to give it a vivid look.
