For this tutorial, you’ll start off with the number ‘9’, and then add more curves to it to draw the duck. I found this to be the easiest way to draw ducks. For me, it’s the perfect way to teach kids how to draw animals. They’re already familiar with numbers and alphabets. Hence, it’s easier for them to start the drawing like this, and eventually work their way around it.

Once again, we start things off with a number, but instead of ‘9’, we use the number ‘2’. This number acts as the base of our duck sitting in a pond or a lake. After that, we add necessary bits and pieces to the duck’s body. Then, we doodle some of the other parts, like the wings, and the tail. Finally, we end the drawing by adding small details in the water, like the ripples. There you go! A duck swimming in water.
