I love to draw cats. It’s therapeutic for me. But no matter how attracted I am to these fluffy little creatures, I was never that good at drawing them. This, however, changed when I allocated myself a bit of time to check out a few amazing tutorials on how to draw a cat. Believe it or not, it took me less than a week to perfect (or purr-fect in this case) my cat drawings. All I did was pay attention to those tutorials, and work alongside them. The results were indeed fascinating, and I think anyone can master the art of drawing cats, once they’ve gone through the same set of tutorials that I have.
If you want to draw a cat, you need to focus on a few elements of the cat. First is the cat’s eyes and its gaze. Next, you work on the body, and the fur. Along with that, you decide on a stance or pose that the cat is taking. Finally, you work out the details on the cat’s paws. By keeping these things in mind, you’ll be able to take a very steady approach to your cat drawing.
This is one of the cutest cat drawings I’ve ever seen. The adorable image of the cat with that butterfly makes this drawing look really lively, and charming at the same time. Mind you, this is a bit difficult to draw. As you can tell, there are a lot of details in this drawing that you can’t compromise, otherwise your drawing will fail to land a similar appeal with your audience. But with a bit of effort, I think you can manage to do justice to this drawing and tutorial.

This video tutorial focuses on the process of drawing a realistic portrait of a cat. The artist here puts emphasis on the cat’s eyes, something you can easily tell just by looking at this drawing. It’s a very detailed artwork, and honestly, quite difficult to do. I myself had to struggle a lot to get this done. I recommend you give this a try if you’re somewhat experienced with lifelike sketches or drawing.s

The tutorial shown in this video will walk you through the process of drawing a realistic kitten. Once again, you’ll need to focus on the eyes, and the gaze of our fluffy little friend. The details on the fur is also very crucial here, as it helps to add depth to the drawing. It’s quite a difficult artwork to replicate. So I recommend you sharpen your skills first before you jump to work on this.

This detailed pen sketch of a cat looks really lifelike. Instead of a pen, you can also use a pencil and get similar results. The tutorial is well organized, and will guide you through the whole process. But you’ll still find this drawing a bit difficult to work on if you’re not experienced with sketching or drawing live objects in general.
