Introduction
I’ve known how to draw a castle ever since I was a kid. But the castles I used to draw back then were usually inspired by cartoons, mostly a few Disney movies. Recently, I’ve started to draw castles again, and this time, I’m working on both cartoonish, as well as realistic designs. In order to get a better understanding as to how I can draw castles properly, I sought help from a few video tutorials on YouTube. These tutorials helped me a lot, and I think you too can benefit from them if you want.
You can draw castles in two different ways. The first is the cartoonish way, where your castles can be wild, and you can get as creative as you want with the design. The other way is the realistic approach of drawing castles. Here, you’re somewhat limited to how you design your castles, and you’ll only be able to use realistic elements, and model your castle’s architecture accordingly.
Castle Drawing Tutorial for Kids
Most kids have a thing for fairy or princess themed castles, the ones you’ll find in Disney movies. This tutorial will show you how to draw castles, and is specifically aimed at kids. The drawing here is quite easy to work on, and there’s nothing complex about it. Kids can also get creative with the design on the castle walls if they want.

This video tutorial will show you how to draw a castle in the clouds. It’s a kid friendly drawing tutorial that’s quite easy to follow. The steps are extremely simple, and there’s nothing difficult about them. Kids will love working on this drawing. It’s simplicity is what makes it so appealing.

Simple Castle in Greyscale
Although the castle in this drawing is not from a Disney fairytale, it’s still not that realistic looking. It is, however, a very simple approach to drawing a castle, and what it may look like in reality. It’s an easy drawing, and won’t consume too much of your time. My only problem with this drawing is that it’s a bit too bland for me.

This tutorial will show you how to draw a simple castle line art. It’s mostly for kids, but I think regular artists can get some practice done through it as well. The drawing, although depicts what an actual castle might look like, is still not a realistic design. But it’s a good place to start if you want to get started on your realistic castle drawings.

The drawing in this tutorial is quite artistic. You can even call it a bit aesthetic if you want. It’s also one of my personal favorites on this list. The tutorial makes this drawing look really simple. Although it is easy to work on, you still need to work your way around those shades if you want to make the drawing stand out.

Medieval Castle Drawing Tutorial for Beginners
The drawing in this tutorial is somewhere between a realistic, and a cartoonish art style. It’s an easy thing to draw, and won’t take much time. Kids, as well as beginner level artists will enjoy working on this artwork. It has a few elements from your typical Disney castles, and the structural design on a regular castle. This to me, is what makes this drawing unique.

A Stunning Sketch of the Hogwarts Castle
Hogwarts Castle from the Harry Potter series is probably one of the most famous, and widely recognized castles in the whole world. In this video tutorial, the artist will show you how to do a stunning sketch of the Hogwarts Castle. The tutorials is presented in a step by step manner, and is quite easy to follow. It may seem difficult, but the drawing is actually quite easy to work on, and hence, beginners won’t face any trouble with it.

Disney Castle Drawing Tutorial for Kids
This tutorial will show you how to do a rough sketch of the Disney castle. It’s not that realistic, nor does it look very appealing. But the tutorial is made for kids, and for them, being able to draw something that somewhat resembles the actual thing, is more than enough. Hence, kids will really enjoy this tutorial, and can even learn a thing or two about drawing castles from it.

In this castle drawing video tutorial, you’ll get to see how to sketch a realistic castle using pen and ink. It’s a very detailed drawing, and has an aesthetic look to it as well. The drawing is a bit difficult to work on, and you’ll need to get some practice done before you decide to pick up your pens for this one. The tutorial is very helpful though, and you can learn a lot from it.

The castle in this tutorial is seen standing tall on an island. The scenery around the island compliments the castle. It’s a very picturesque drawing, and you’ll enjoy working on it. The drawing may seem a bit difficult, but the tutorial actually makes it quite easy to work on.
